Thank God For Friends

Thank God for Friends!

When we are friendsfor so many years,
God blesses us with memoriesthat always bring tears.
Maybe not surface ones to roll down our face.
But deep in our hearts where time won't erase.
Many happy ones, sure! But some sad ones, too.
Of loved ones who have died and left us to feel blue.
Until we begin to think just where they have gone.
We're happy for them, but, we still feel alone!
Then happy memories startfunny stories we can tell.
Tell Greta, I think of them often, and always wish them well!
Your children are how old? My word!Seems like that can't be true!
But look at our kids, they're all grown up, too!
Dear Lord, I'm truly thankful, for friends we've known so long.
Seems like every year that passes, our love only grows more strong!
Continue to bless them, Lord, I pray so they will know just what to do.
Give them Souls for their labor, help them in their work for You!

How Many Friends Do You Have?

How many friends do you have?

Think about it....
The old man turned to me and asked
"How many friends have you?
"Why 10 or 20 Friends have I,
And named off just a few--
He rose quite slow with effort
And sadly shook his head
"A lucky child you are
To have so many friends," he said,
But think of what you're saying
There is so much you do not know
A friend is just not someoneto whom you say "Hello"
A friends a tender shoulder
on which to softly cry
A well to poor your troubles down
and raise your spirits high
A friend is a hand to pull you up
From darkness and despair...
when all your other "so called" friends
Have helped to put you there
A true friend is an ally
who can't be moved or bought
a voice to keep your name alive
when others have forgot
But most of all a friend is a heart
a strong and sturdy wall
for from the hearts of friends
There comes the greatest love of all
So think of what I've spoken
for every word is true
And answer once again my child
How many friends have you??
And then he stood and faced me
Awaiting my reply
Softly I answeredIf Lucky
......One Have "I""YOU!!!!!"

When There's No Where to Turn

They say that behind every cloud is a silver lining

And I guess this is true.

But finding the bright spot behind each cloud
Is largely up to you!

If everything in sight looks hopeless,

Try to find one spot,

That doesn't look quite so dark

It doesn't matter what!

When there's no where to turn that you can see,

It's time to look above.

Our Lord will come into your heart

bible

And fill it with His love!
Think and pray until you see,

Just a glimmer of light.

Then one by one toss the rest behind you,
Until you make it bright!
Think and pray until you see,
Just a glimmer of light.
Then one by one toss the rest behind you,
Until you make it bright!
Talking to God each day will help.
Your troubles He will share.
So if you're troubled with no where to turn,
Just talk to Him - He's always there

PLAYING CHURCH

A mother looked out a window and saw Johnny playing church with their three kittens. He had them lined up and was preaching to them. The mother turned around to do some work. A while later she heard meowing and scratching on the door. She went to the window and saw Johnny baptizing the kittens. She opened the window and said, "Johnny, stop that! You'll drown those kittens." Johnny looked at her and said with much conviction in his voice: "They should had thought of that before they joined my church." ["otchurch" ]

Dear Boss

Dear Boss,
To ensure that you have a good time on your trip to Australia, your team members have planned and developed a special itinerary to fill the time during your leisure hours.
Agenda follows:
Day 1: The "10 Deadliest Snakes" Fall Tour. You and a guest will be escorted through the outback and provided with the opportunity to handle and examine each of the world's 10 most deadly snakes.
Day 2: The "Great White Encounter." You and your tour guide will take a small boat to the Great Barrier Reef, where you will be able to dive into the chum-laden water and experience the beauty of the Great White shark.
Day 3: The Aboriginal "Festival of Spears." You will be the honored guest of a small aboriginal village as they celebrate the subjugation of the aboriginal race by the white man, with free liquor and a special weapons exhibition.
Day 4: The "Crocodile Dundee" Petting Zoo. You will be able to come up-close and personal with the occasionally harmless salt-water crocodiles of the Australian coast. Lucky audience members are asked to participate in a croc wrestling exhibition
Day 5: "Those Marvelous Morays." This tour will once again return you to the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, where you will be allowed to hand feed special finger-shaped sausages to the wild eels of Stubby Hand Reef.
We hope you will enjoy your trip!
Your loyal and loving employees.

The Stove
An engineer, a psychologist, and a theologian were hunting in the wilderness of northern Canada. Suddenly, the temperature dropped and a furious snowstorm was upon them. They came across an isolated cabin, far removed from any town. The hunters had heard that the locals in the area were quite hospitable, so they knocked on the door to ask permission to rest.
No one answered their knocks, but they discovered the cabin was unlocked and they entered. It was a simple place ... 2 rooms with a minimum of furniture and household equipment. Nothing was unusual about the cabin except the stove. It was large, pot-bellied, and made of cast-iron. What was strange about it was its location ... it was suspended in midair by wires attached to the ceiling beams.
"Fascinating," said the psychologist. "It is obvious that this lonely trapper, isolated from humanity, has elevated this stove so that he can curl up under it and vicariously experience a return to the womb."
"Nonsense!" replied the engineer. "The man is practicing the laws of thermodynamics. By elevating his stove, he has discovered a way to distribute heat more evenly throughout the cabin."
"With all due respect," interrupted the theologian, "I'm sure that hanging his stove from the ceiling has religious meaning. Fire LIFTED UP has been a religious symbol for centuries."
The three debated the point for several hours without resolving the issue. When the trapper finally returned, they immediately asked him why he had hung his heavy pot-bellied stove from the ceiling.
His answer was succinct. "Had plenty of wire, not much stove pipe."

Called By Name

He Knows Your Name

When you are having problems
And feel there's no help around.
First take one step forward,
To get to higher ground.
If you think that God doesn't hear you
Then that, is really a shame

Not only does He hear every prayer you say;
But He knows you, by your name.
It does not matter just where you are
When you call upon the Lord.
He will be listening with a well-tuned ear
And will understand every word.
Be ready to listen to what He says,
As He tells you what to do.

Because the rest will be up to you.

You should thank Him for His kindness,
Because He was standing by.
And not as you thought; He had turned away
And would never, hear your cry.

Keep Going

Keep Going
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When cares are pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,

As every one of us sometimes learns.

And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won, had he stuck it out.

Don't give up, though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man;

Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor's cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

QUEENBABE2

Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.

And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.

My New Hat

HI, how is everyone?

These last few weeks have been pretty busy, at church we are showing movies in the neigborhoods that are kind of dangerous. The movie itself shows the reality of what they are living; the drugs, alcohol, robbery, "cool life" etc. This movie was made and produced in Venezuela, in and around Caracas, it´s a real life movie, not Hollywood. It´s what everyone lives here, the whole nation. When we start the movie people think we are going to give them the traditional, Passion of Chirst, so they act like they don´t care...when the movie starts and people see that it´s real life they become engrossed and listen, they are attent to what is next. What we do is, when it´s almost to the end of the movie we pause it for a moment and start preaching the Gospel of Jesus, so they don´t get up and leave with out hearing about Jesus. They hear that He can change their life style and give eternal joy, and eternal life, people really respond, they acutually listen. . Then we play the movie until the end, in the mean time a few brothers and sisters, start asking people if they would like to ask Jesus into theie hearts... We are seeing people get saved, now we need to followup on them, that is what we did on Saturday...and we are praying so they will come to church...

A week ago we went to the Sambil Mall, some of you who have been here might remember the mall. My mom found this really cool store a few months ago, and they have the most "chevere" clothes. They have a variety of styles and its really nice! The name of the store is "NAF NAF". My mom bought me a really nice jean dress and shirt from there in December, as a suprise. Well I went in w/my mom the other day and found this cute hat, we were shopping for a b-day present for Anabel, *don´t worry we found a skirt for her and it´s really nice!!* I didn´t think to take a pic. of the skirt :(

I´m not a big fan of hats, for myself...but, this is a BIG exception......Its just super cool!
